“Stress & dieta. Consigli e rimedi per vivere al meglio”, il libro di Paola Vinciguerra e Giorgio Calabrese

dimagrire senza stressDimagrire non è solo una questione di dieta, ma anche di psiche: sarebbe proprio la nostra mente che a volta, frena i meccanismi che portano alla perdita di peso, primi fra tutti lo stress e la mancanza di autostima. Proprio il legame tra il cibo e la psiche è al centro del libro firmato dalla psicologa Paola Vinciguerra e dal professor Giorgio Calabrese intitolato “Stress & dieta. Consigli e rimedi per vivere al meglio”.

Che l’efficacia della dieta fosse soprattutto una questione di testa ne aveva già parlato il dottor Raffaele Morelli, noto psicoterapeuta, nel volume “Dimagrire senza dieta” nel quale aveva spiegato:

Non potremo eliminare i chili in più diventando docili soldatini che, a orari cadenzati, mangiano la mela, la fettina di fesa, il petto di pollo. Non è possibile dimagrire, se prima non abbiamo risvegliato una passione, un desiderio, un interesse.

Insomma: passioni e interessi sono il motore che stimola una reale perdita di peso, concetto che viene ribadito e sottolineato anche nel libro del professor Calabrese, noto nutrizionista, e della dott.ssa Vinciguerra. Il problema dell’influenza della mente nella perdita del libro è affrontato a partire dall’incapacità di mangiare serenamente, comportamento che non a niente a che vedere con il lavoro e lo status sociale.

Ad esempio, non è solo la casalinga a mangiare in modo disordinato e a concedersi troppi spuntini, ci sono anche manager in carriera che si alzano la notte per svuotare il cibo, senza contare i patiti del fitness, ossessionati dal fisico, o i giovani che non mangiano tutto il giorno per concedersi l’happy hour tutte le sere.

Insomma, la dieta funzionerà solo se prima di quella del corpo compenseremo la “fame della mente”, le insoddisfazioni che colmiamo con il cibo. Eppure, sottolinea, la dott.ssa Vinciguerra nel suo volume, fare pace con l’alimentazione non è facile, e i suoi test lo dimostrano. Oltre a spiegare molto chiaramente il legame tra dieta e psiche non mancano nel libo i consigli del professor Calabrese:

Fondamentale è dimenticare la fretta: mangiando velocemente si abbatte la vitamina C e aumentano i succhi gastrici: viene soddisfatta solo la fame chimica, ma non quella psicologica che dà benessere.

Inoltre, è utile preparare solo piatti che saranno consumati, perché aiuta a rilassarsi e fare sport per ritrovare l’equilibrio, non solo fisico ma anche interiore.
