Troppe proteine nella dieta quotidiana mettono a rischio la salute

Non si può parlare di dieta e non parlare di proteine. Sarà la moda della Dieta Dukan, ma i regimi iperproteici sono estremamente diffusi nei Paesi Occidentali. Da un lato sono sfruttati per perdere peso e dall’altro, a volte, sono il risultato di alimentazioni poco equilibrate: si tende a mangiare molta carne, a scapito delle proteine vegetali e della frutta e della verdura.

È vero, le diete proteiche favoriscono la perdita di peso, perché tendono a saziare molto e per questo aiutano le persone ad assumere, nel corso della giornata, meno cibo. Ma fanno bene? Purtroppo per la salute, in generale, si consiglia sempre una dieta ben bilanciata, che non protenda troppo da una parte o dall’altra. Uno dei principali problemi della proteica sta nel fatto che una volta conclusa, si tende ad acquisire molto peso. In linea di massima quello che con fatica si è perso, più gli interessi.

In una situazione normale, quella che mediamente affronta una persona non vegetariana, si consuma 1,2 grammi per chilo corporeo, mentre le indicazioni dei nutrizionisti è quella di non superare il grammo. La Dieta Dukan, come molte iperproteiche, invece, consiglia di arrivare a 2,5 grammi per chilo corporeo. L’eccesso di proteine fa sicuramente perdere peso, ma alla lunga causa gravi problemi sia epatici sia renali. Le proteine sono importanti perché servono a rinnovare i tessuti dell’organismo e contribuiscono a fabbricare altre sostanze fondamentali per la salute, ma non bisognerebbe acquisirne quotidianamente più del 15 percento del fabbisogno calorico.

L’Efsa (Autorità europea per la sicurezza alimentare), recentemente, ha pubblicato i nuovi valori relativi alle dosi di proteine che dovrebbero essere assunte. Secondo i nuovi dati un uomo adulto non dovrebbe prendere più di 0,83 grammi per chilo, una donna in gravidanza deve prendere 1 grammo il primo trimestre, 9 grammi il secondo e 28 il terzo. Per i bambini e gli adolescenti si consigliano tra gli 0,83 a 1,31 grammi.
