Il resveratrolo è un composto presente negli acini d’uva, nelle bacche, nel vino e in alcuni semi oleosi come le noccioline americane e i pinoli, che possiede numerose qualità: basti pensare che nella medicina asiatica viene usato per curare i disturbi del cuore e del fegato.

Il resveratrolo è presente nella buccia dell’acino d’uva, per questo, nel vino è più o meno presente a seconda di quanto viene fatto fermentare insieme alla bucce, e poi dipende anche da come viene coltivata l’uva. La quantità ideale di resveratrolo nell’organismo è di circa 50 mg, questo significa che per ottenerla dovremmo bere al giorno alcuni litri di vino rosso, in quanto la sua concentrazione è di solito piuttosto bassa. Ovviamente, questo non è possibile e non solo perché ci ubriacheremmo, ma soprattutto perchè bere molto vino determina la comparsa di serie malattie, prima fra tutte la cirrosi epatica.

Ma non vi preoccupate: godere dei benefici del resveratrolo non è difficile, perché basta assumerlo sotto forma di compresse come integratore alimentare, oppure utilizzarlo per la cura del viso e del corpo come ingrediente di creme e lozioni.

I prodotti a base di resveratrolo sono molto utilizzati nei cosmetici perché questo composto possiede interessanti proprietà antiossidanti, antinfiammatorie, la facoltà di favorire la riproduzione cellulare, e, non ultima, la sintesi di collagene. Soprattutto la proprietà vasorilassante del resveratrolo fa si che venga molto impiegato in cosmetica, in quanto è capace di fermare la perdita di elasticità dei vasi sanguigni provocata da freddo, raggi UV, fumo e stress, ridonando ai tessuti la loro vitalità.

Ma non è finita qui; se nella cura della pelle il resveratrolo aiuta a combattere i segni del tempo e della vita quotidiana, a livello di salute dell’organismo è capace di rallentare i processi nocivi responsabili delle malattie cardiovascolari, di abbassare i livelli di colesterolo totale, di ridurre i grassi in circolo, e di svolgere un’elevata azione antiossidante.

  1. Mi permetto di aggiungere di aggiugere alla lista OPC, l’estratto abbr di oligomere proantocianidine. E’ conosciuto come fra i più potenti antiossidanti naturali. E’ importante però distinguerlo da normali estratti di semi d’uva e corteccia del pino, dal vero OPC. Posso consigliare un libro sul’argomento e anche mat medico-scientifico per i prof del settore.
