Pierre Dukan non esce di scena. I riflettori non si spengono neanche un momento sulla sua figura e sulla sua dieta milionaria. Perché se è vero che l’ordine dei medici francese l’ha radiato, è anche vero che non ha nessuna intenzione di ritirarsi dal mercato. Ideologia o business? Forse, entrambe le cose.
Il profumo dei soldi fa gola davvero a tutti e non importa quanto sia alto e diffamante il prezzo della notorietà, probabilmente il ritorno economico vale la candela. Ha partecipano al festival Anteprime di Pietrasanta (appena concluso), concedendo un interessante intervista a LaRepubblica, raccontando la sua verità. Insomma, ha cercato di fare chiarezza su tutti quei punti che hanno davvero fatto discutere l’Europa per mesi e hanno indignato i nutrizionisti di ogni Paese dell’Unione, da quelli italiani a quelli anglosassoni.
Punto uno: la radiazione dell’albo è una falsità. Dukan sostiene, infatti, di aver fatto richiesta nel 2007 per essere tolto dall’albo, quando ha deciso di andare in pensione e iniziare il suo lavoro contro il sovrappeso. Come mai solo ora è emersa la notizia? Sono gelosi, sostiene.
Punto due: dare voti più alti ai maturandi dimagriti o che sono stati in grado di mantenere il peso forma. Doveva essere questa una strategia per combattere l’obesità, invece, è nata una polemica sulla discriminazione.
Il 16% degli adolescenti francesi va in sovrappeso durante gli ultimi due anni del liceo. Mi sembra quindi logico creare nel programma un’opzione facoltativa per chi vuole imparare rudimenti di dietologia, concedendo un bonus alla maturità per quelli che, seguendo questi consigli, riescono a non ingrassare. Così come s’insegna l’educazione fisica e sessuale, non capisco perché non dovrebbe esistere l’educazione alimentare.
Punto tre: la dieta dukan è pericolosa per la salute e ha molti effetti collaterali. L’agenzia di sicurezza sanitaria francese (Anses) ha condotto proprio su questo punto, che poi è il più importante, uno studio davvero molto interessante e puntuale mettendo in luce i limiti del regime alimentare. Ovviamente, Dukan ha nuovamente qualcosa da dire, considerando che la sua dieta è nata proprio per prevenire i fattori di rischio dovuti al sovrappeso e all’obesità. Sostiene che questa polemica non abbia senso e che nasca dal fatto di non essere simpatico ai produttori di farmaci.
