Mangiare il pesce è molto utile sia per mantenersi in salute che in linea; in particolare, consumare regolarmente questo alimento fa bene per contrastare il diabete, le malattie cardiovascolari e anche per migliorare l’umore. Attenzione, però: sono bandite le fritture, mentre va bene il pesce cotto alla griglia, al vapore e al forno.

Non dovete fare scorpacciate di pesce per sentirvi meglio: bastano anche solo un paio di porzioni a settimana; ma perché il pesce è così salutare? Innanzi tutto perché ricco di fosforo, proteine, vitamine e i famosi grassi omega 3; non a caso il pesce è al centro di una campagna di educazione alimentare della Nutrition Foundation of Italy e il noto marchio Rio Mare.

Il direttore scientifico della Nutrition Foundation of Italy, il dottor Andrea Poli, afferma:

Ci fa piacere approfondire un tema così importante come il ruolo del pesce nella dieta quotidiana, al fine di diffondere uno stile alimentare più sano ed equilibrato e contribuire ad ampliare il consumo di uno degli alimenti più preziosi per la nostra salute.

Secondo gli studi scientifici, il consumo regolare di pesce è molto utile per prevenire il diabete di tipo 2, oltre che per diminuire il rischio di demenza e per migliorare l’umore. Inoltre, è dimostrato che il consumo di pesce è in grado di influire sugli ormoni coinvolti nei meccanismi di sazietà e appetito, e quindi è particolarmente indicato in caso di dieta.

Non tutti i metodi di cottura però sono adatti; ovviamente c’è differenza tra il mangiare il pesce cotto alla griglia e quello fritto; basti pensare che uno studio sulle abitudini alimentari degli americani con più di 65 anni ha individuato come differenza tra chi mangiava tonno, pesce al forno o alla griglia e pesce fritto che i rischi di morte per ischemia cardiaca, erano diminuite del 50% nei primi due casi.
