È un’amara verità e forse è talmente dura che dovrebbe aiutarci a riflettere almeno un pochino. Purtroppo solo l’1% dei bambini italiani segue una dieta corretta, tutti gli altri, invece, hanno un’alimentazione bilanciata in modo errato. A svelare questa situazione è un documento elaborato del Barilla Center for food and Nutrition (Bcfn), che mette in allarme i genitori e propone una serie di consigli per rimediare al problema.
È abbastanza evidente che i bambini siano sempre più grassi, che l’apporto di calorie, grassi e zuccheri sia eccessivo e che ci voglia un cambio di rotta per migliorare la situazione. Secondo lo studio, a partire dai 3 anni, i bambini ingeriscono 3 o 4 volte le calorie necessarie. Questo cosa può voler dire? Intanto che si sta mettendo a rischio la salute dei piccoli, aumentando il rischio di obesità, tumore e malattie cardiovascolari.
Per superare il problema ci sono numerose strade. Abbiamo visto che un po’ in tutto il mondo occidentale si sta cercando di formare e sensibilizzare le persone sul problema. Bisognerebbe iniziare, comunque, seguendo delle semplici regole. Per esempio evitare le troppe calorie. Come si fa? È molto semplici, stando attenti ai cibi grassi e favorendo il consumo della frutta e della verdura. Non mangiare troppo calorico, non significa non nutrirsi.
La seconda regola (ieri vi abbiamo già accennato qualcosa) è quella di ridurre il sale e lo zucchero. Poi, bisogna stabilire dei pasti regolari, che dovrebbero essere in tutto cinque: colazione, pranzo, cena e due merende, una la mattina e l’altra al pomeriggio. Fuori da questi momenti, il bambino non deve mangiare. Questo perché? Prima di tutto perché il corpo ha bisogno di ritmi scanditi per lavorare bene e poi per non perdere il conto delle calorie.
Infine, la cosa più nota al mondo: fare sport. È abbastanza verificato che i piccoli italiani non si muovono. Tra l’altro, l’attività fisica scende proporzionalmente al reddito della famiglia. Questo è un guaio, perché hanno bisogno di non stare sul divano a giocare e a guardare la tv, ma di uscire e sfogarsi.
