Gelato artigianale o confezionato?

Il gelato, d’estate, è quasi un rito, che si tratti di quello artigianale o di quello confezionato, il 98% degli italiani non sa proprio farne a meno.

Come dimostrano i dati della ricerca EURISKO/IGI (Istituto del gelato Italiano) sulle nuove tendenze che riguardano il consumo di gelato fuori casa, quello confezionato è amato da 7 italiani su 10 e in modo particolare dai giovani tra i 25 e i 34 anni e dai giovanissimi tra i 15 e i 24 anni, che preferiscono gustarlo nei luoghi della movida cittadina.

Chi lo consuma lo fa in primis per soddisfare la voglia di dolce, ma anche la necessità di rinfrescarsi o di fare uno spuntino goloso. Contrariamente a quanto si pensi, il gelato confezionato vanta una schiera nutrita di seguaci, si tratta di circa 6,5 milioni di persone (pari al 40% dei consumatori totali di gelato fuori casa).

E il gelato artigianale? E’ sicuramente un degno antagonista, amato dalle mamme e dai nutrizionisti, che lo considerano un alimento equilibrato e ben bilanciato, con un’ottima proporzione tra proteine, carboidrati, zuccheri e grassi. Non a caso, viene consigliato come sostitutivo del pasto.

Inoltre, il gelato artigianale, soprattutto quello alla frutta ha poche calorie (100 g contengono circa 100 Kcalorie) e può essere un valido spuntino di metà mattinata o metà pomeriggio anche per chi deve seguire un regime alimentare ipocalorico. Senza contare che ha un buon potere energetico e una buona digeribilità.

Inoltre, se si scelgono i gusti alla fragola o ai frutti di bosco, si fa il pieno di vitamine A e C, dalla spiccata azione antiossidante, utile a combattere i radicali liberi. Il gelato, si presta anche nelle diete delle persone inappetenti grazie alla presenza abbondante di sali minerali quali calcio e fosforo. Indicato anche nelle diete ipernutritive per i soggetti anoressici o con problemi digestivi. Il gelato, infatti, stimola la secrezione dei succhi gastrici aiutando così la digestione.
