La dieta astringente contro i disturbi intestinali

Può capitare a tutti di affrontare un periodo di disturbi intestinali, durante il quale bisogna aiutare il nostro organismo e, soprattutto, l’intestino, a riprendere le normali funzioni; a questo proposito potrebbe essere utile seguire una dieta astringente.

Quando l’intestino non funziona bene, a risentirne è tutto l’organismo: i problemi intestinali possono essere accompagnati da dolori, nausee, debolezza, crampi all’addome e perdita dell’appetito; per non peggiorare la situazione di salute generale è consigliabile seguire un’alimentazione specifica dalla funzione astringente.

Durante il primo periodo nel quale si soffre di disturbi intestinali, la cosa migliore da fare è digiunare e bere tanta acqua e assumere zucchero, limone o sale; naturalmente il digiuno non si deve protrarre troppo a lungo, ma per 6 o massimo 24 ore, durante il quale dovete evitare di ingerire cibi solidi a favore di quelli liquidi. Passato questo primo momento di disturbi, ricominciate ad alimentarvi prediligendo cibi come cereali, semola e acqua di riso.

Via via che passano i giorni, reintroducete nell’alimentazione cibi solidi come riso, pollo, pesce, pane, poi yogurt, carne e verdure lesse. Mantenetevi sempre idratati: quando si soffre di disturbi intestinali si tende a perdere tanti liquidi, quindi cercate di riassumerli bevendo acqua, tè, succhi di frutta e brodo.

Proprio per evitare la disidratazione, ogni due ore assumete liquidi o nutrienti adatti a questo scopo, seguendo questo schema:

  • un litro d’acqua;
  • due cucchiai di zucchero per stabilire il glucosio;
  • un pizzico di sale per il cloruro sodico;
  • mezza cucchiaiata di bicarbonato;
  • il succo di un limone per integrare il potassio.

 Attenzione a non cadere nell’errore di consumare cibi, per così dire “proibiti”, ossia che vi potrebbero far tornare il disturbo; primi fra tutti latte e formaggi, per via del loro lungo processo digestivo, i fritti e gli insaccati perché irritano le mucose digestive; evitate anche frutta e verdura, olio, burro, alimenti speziati, caffè e bibite gassate, alimenti considerati irritanti in caso di disturbi intestinali.
