Antiossidanti, ecco i più potenti


Contenuto nell’uva e nel vino rosso, il resveratrolo previene la formazione della placca aterosclerotica, favorisce l’aumento del colesterolo buono (HDL) contenendo al contempo il livello di colesterolo cattivo (LDL).


Il licopene è il principale carotenoide contenuto nei pomodori. Diversi studi gli attribuiscono un’azione preventiva sul cancro alla prostata.


Il beta carotene è un precursore della vitamina A contenuto soprattutto in albicocche, carote e peperoni. E’ amico di pelle e mucose e protegge dall’azione nociva degli agenti inquinanti. Alcuni studi ne avrebbero dimostrato le proprietà anticancro.

Vitamina C

La vitamina C è contenuta soprattutto nelle frutta e negli ortaggi. Tra le sue fonti principali troviamo: fragole, agrumi, ribes nero, frutti rossi, verdure a foglia scura, pomodori, patate.


Presente sia nei vegetali che negli alimenti di origine vegetale, il selenio viene introdotto nella nostra dieta principalmente attraverso il frumento ma è presente anche nella soia e nel pesce.
