Ricette light: sorbetto di ananas e menta

Il sorbetto di ananas e menta è un dessert molto fresco e piacevole, soprattutto con l’avvicinarsi della bella stagione, quando il desiderio di cibi leggeri inizia a farsi sentire. Inoltre, essendo povero di calorie, è un ottimo dolce per chi segue un regime ipocalorico. Del resto, la dieta non deve essere intesa come un sacrificio, ma piuttosto come un un nuovo modo di alimentarsi più sano ed equilibrato.

L’ingrediente principe di questo delizioso sorbetto è l’ananas, un frutto ricco di acqua (90%), ma anche di sostanze nutritive come bromelina, vitamina A, vitamia C, vitamine del gruppo B, aminoacidi, proteine, minerali come calcio, magnesio, potassio e manganese.

La bromelina, in particolare, un enzima presente soprattutto nel gambo, e facilita la digestione, svolge un’azione anti-infiammatoria e anti-edematica, mentre gli acidi organici contenuti nell’ananas hanno una funzione diuretica e aiutano a combattere la ritenzione idrica e la cellulite.

Inoltre, la presenza di preziose sostanze antiossidanti, aiuta a mantenere la pelle elastica e a contrastare l’effetto dei radicali liberi. Quando acquistate l’ananas, evitate i frutti con la buccia di colore verde o grigiastro, che sono troppo acerbi, ma anche quelli con la buccia marrone, che sono eccessivamente maturi e assicuratevi che si senta leggermente il profumo caratteristico dell’ananas.

Ingredienti

800 ml di acqua
1kg di ananas
300 ml di latte scremato
1 mazzetto di menta fresca
350 gr di zucchero

Preparazione

In una pentola, fate riscaldare l’acqua con lo zucchero e mescolate bene fino a quando non è completamente sciolto. Portate ad ebollizione, abbassate la fiamma e lasciate cuocere a fiamma dolce per 10 minuti.

Nel frattempo, pulite l’ananas, tagliatelo a pezzetini e passatelo alla centrifuga in modo da ottenere il succo. Spegnete la fiamma, e aggiungete il succo di ananas e le foglie di menta lavate.

Lasciate macerare tutta la notte, e il giorno dopo colate lo sciroppo, aggiungete il latte e mettele il composto in un contenitore di latta. Lasciate raffreddare coperto in freezer per 2-3 ore. Poi, frullate con il mixer e rimettete in freezer.

Se non disponete di una gelatiera, dovete ripetere questa operazione almeno 2-3 volte ogni 3 ore circa per rompere i cristalli di ghiaccio. Frullate per l’ultima volta mezz’ora prima di servire, accompagnando il sorbetto con delle fette di ananas fresco.
