Secondo l’ayurveda la fisionomia delle persone viene distinta secondo tre costituzioni dosha: pitta, vata e kapha, ognuna delle quali prevede determinate caratteristiche fisiche e psicologiche e per le quali è studiata un’apposita alimentazione.

In questa situazione si inserisce il tè kapha, ossia il tè destinato alle persone dalla costituzione dosha kapha. Prima di scoprire cos’è il tè kapha nel dettaglio, vi illustreremo brevemente quali sono le peculiarità delle tre costituzioni dosha.

Le caratteristiche fisiche del dosha pitta sono capelli chiari e costituzione media, mentre quelle personali sono l’intelligenza, la determinazione, l’organizzazione, il coraggio e la tendenza alla leadership; le malattie che colpiscono più frequentemente i pitta sono l’ulcera, l’acne e l’emorroidi, e, inoltre, sono soggetti ad attacchi di collera e aggressività. I dosha vata possiedono un fisico snello e la pelle secca, sono persone molto attive, vivaci, creative e flessibili, ma soffrono di insonnia, disturbi nervosi, problemi digestivi e stati d’ansia.

Il dosha kapha possiede una struttura ossea pesante e un corpo forte, ha un carattere calmo e rilassato, ama dormire ed è piuttosto avaro e geloso; i problemi che affliggono i soggetti kapha sono il soprappeso, l’obesità, la pigrizia, le allergie, la ipercolesterolemia, la difficoltà ad accettare i cambiamenti e la depressione. I cibi adatti ai tipi ai dosha kapha sono quelli caldi e leggeri, dal sapore amaro, pungente e astringente, mentre sono sconsigliati i cibi fritti e quelli dal sapore dolce e aspro.

 

Nonostante l’ayurveda proponga per ognuno di questi dosha un’alimentazione specifica, ritiene anche che un pasto non possa dirsi completo se non è accompagnato dalle bevande giuste, in particolare i tè speziati che servono a rendere i cibi più digeribili e a stimolare il metabolismo. Per il dosha kapha la medicina ayurvedica prevede il tè kapha una miscela a base di pepe nero, cardamomo, zenzero e chiodi di garofano, che favorisce la digestione e il metabolismo e che è particolarmente indicata per chi soffre di aerofagia e dolori addominali.
