I sensi di colpa non aiutano a dimagrire

Mettersi a dieta e non sbagliare mai. Dire per sempre basta a enormi piatti di pasta, dolci e cioccolata e non avere rimpianti, non guardarsi mai indietro. Credo siano proprio questi i traguardi più ambiti da tutti coloro che si mettono a dieta con l’intento di perdere peso; eppure non tutti riescono a raggiungerli, anzi non ci riesce quasi nessuno ed è del tutto normale che sia così.

Infatti, fare uno strappo alla regola, quando si segue una dieta dimagrante, è non solo inevitabile, ma, al contrario di quanto si pensa comunemente, anche del tutto lecito e può tornare persino utile alla prosecuzione della dieta stessa. Forse non tutti sanno che mettersi a dieta con la consapevolezza che di tanto in tanto è possibile concedersi qualche sfizio è un punto di partenza di gran lunga migliore rispetto all’auto-imposizione di divieti assoluti che rischiano, quando non rispettati, seppure episodicamente, di tramutarsi in vere e proprie trappole.

La trasgressione, lo “sgarro” non deve infatti essere vissuto come un fallimento e non deve essere fonte di sensi di colpa inutili e fuorvianti. Mangiare una fetta di dolce nel corso di un’occasione importante o una porzione del nostro piatto preferito alla domenica, nonostante la dieta, rappresentano evenienze che dovrebbero invece essere vissute come del tutto normali e archiviate subito per continuare a seguire la nostra dieta come se nulla fosse accaduto.

Niente quindi sensi di colpa, niente tentativi di riparazione (ad esempio cercando di mangiare meno di quanto stabilito dal programma alimentare il giorno successivo o saltando i pasti). In questo modo matureremo una buona stima nelle nostre “capacità di stare a dieta” perchè eserciteremo il nostro autocontrollo e la nostra capacità di gestione del cibo ne risulterà aumentata.

Lasciarsi sopraffare dal senso di colpa non avrà invece altro effetto se non quello di indurci a sottostimare le nostre capacità rendendo la dieta un’esperienza opprimente che, paradossalmente, in queste condizioni saremo indotti ad abbandonare.

  8. obviously like your web site however you need to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very troublesome to inform the truth then again I will surely come again again.
