Per dimagrire: più alimenti salutari e meno ossessione per la dieta

L’articolo scientifico pubblicato nell’edizione di giugno 2017 dalla rivista American Journal of Clinical Nutrition dal dr Lukas Schwingshackl e i suoi collaboratori, ci dà lo spunto per riflettere su come dovrebbero cambiare le nostre abitudini alimentari: diminuire il consumo di alimenti insani piuttosto che aumentare quelli salutisti.

Il consumo di alimenti salutari come frutta, verdura, pesce e cereali integrali è legato dalle evidenze sciantifiche ad una diminuzione sensibile della mortalità. Si stima infatti che il 70% della mortalita’ attribuibile a malattie non trasmittibili, sia da mettere in relazione con lo stile di vita, e questo include ovviamente anche l’alimentazione.

I ricercatori hanno calcolato che le persone che non fumano, sono fisicamente attive e seguono una regime alimentare salutare vivono abitualmente 10-15 anni di piu’, in media, rispetto agli altri e vivono anche con una maggiore qualita’ della vita.

DIMAGRIRE SENZA DIETA: ECCO COME FARE

I dodici gruppi di alimenti che i ricercatori hanno relazionato con il rischio di mortalità sono stati i cereali integrali, quelli raffinati, le verdure, la frutta, la frutta secca, i legumi, le uova, i prodotti caseari, il pesce, la carne rossa, la carne lavorata e le bevande zuccherate. Dallo studio emerge che mettere al primo posto nella dieta il consumo di “alimenti che diminuiscono il rischio”, tra cui i cerali integrali, le verdure, la frutta, la frutta secca o i legumi, diminuisce il rischio di mortalita’ del 56%.

DIMAGRIRE MANGIANDO E SENZA RIPRENDERE PESO IN 10 SEMPLICI MOSSE

Ma il punto è un altro. I ricercatori, per non creare equivoci, hanno fatto l’esempio del pesce. Nel caso del pesce, e’ possibile che un elevato consumo sia benefico perchè sostituisce quello delle carni rosse o elaborate. Ma mangiare molto pesce potrebbe, per eccesso, sostituire il consumo di alimenti importanti come quelli di origine vegetale poco elaborati. Inoltre, la presenza inevitabile di contaminanti ambientali nel pesce è un fattore da prendere seriamente in considerazione quando se ne mangiano abbondanti quantità. Probabilmente, almeno in questo caso, di più non è meglio.

A DIETA UN SOLO GIORNO A SETTIMANA PER DIMAGRIRE SENZA SACRIFICI

Dunque, qual è la conclusione? I ricercatori sono giunti a stabilire che è preferibile diminuire o addirittura eliminare il consumo di alimenti insalubri, ma questo non deve voler dire essere ossessionati da una dieta nella quale si mettono insieme alimenti salubri come verdure, frutta o cereali integrali. E’ piu’ importante non consumare di continuo alimenti insalubri, piuttosto che ossessionarsi con una dieta sana. L’equilibrio, anche in questo caso, è la giusta misura.
