Quando si parla di bibite gassate dobbiamo far pace con un concetto. Quale? Fanno male e lo fanno a tutti. Non solo a chi ha uno stile di vita sedentario.

Bibite gassate non fanno bene a nessuno

Quando consumiamo delle bibite gassate e zuccherate ne siamo coscienti: non sono un toccasana per la salute. Uno studio ora ha specificato come gli effetti di queste bevande non possano essere ammortizzati dall’attività fisica. Sebbene si brucino un numero maggiore di calorie, il mix di zucchero e anidride carbonica è deleterio anche per chi ha uno stile di vita attivo. Lo spiega una ricerca pubblicata sulla rivista di settore American Journal of Clinical Nutrition secondo la quale anche due lattine da 300 ml a settimana possono rendere vani i benefici a favore dell’apparato cardiocircolatorio. Ovviamente ottenuti con l’esercizio fisico.

Un gruppo di ricercatori dell’Universitè Laval di Quebec City ha infatti scoperto, analizzando i dati di circa 100.000 persone di oltre trent’anni, che i danni causati dal consumo di bevande gassate e zuccherate non vengono ammortizzati dall’attività fisica media raccomandata, pari a circa 150 minuti settimanali.

Gli scienziati spiegano che allenarsi riduce del 50% il rischio di malattie cardiovascolari legate al consumo delle suddette bevande. Ma non lo elimina al 100%. E questa è una realtà della quale bisogna essere coscienti.

Soprattutto in un periodo in cui la maggior parte delle strategie di marketing attuale mostrano come. facendo sport, teoricamente una persona possa permettersi di bere quel che vuole perché tanto conduce uno stile di vita sano.

Lo studio vale per tutte le bevande gassate, sia quelle alla frutta che quelle analcoliche. A prescindere dalla presenza di caffeina. Sebbene lo studio non si sia occupato delle bibite energetiche, l’assunto sarebbe valido anche per queste per via dell’alto contenuto di zuccheri.

Meglio quelle prive di zucchero

Ci si salva parzialmente con le bibite dolcificate, ovvero le classiche light o ancor meglio zero. Il loro consumo non sarebbe associato, al netto delle problematiche legate all’essere gassate, a un maggior rischio di malattie cardiovascolari. La mancanza di zucchero può aiutare, al netto del fatto che la miglior bevanda per il nostro corpo rimane l’acqua.

Studi come quelli condotto in Canada dovrebbero aiutare le persone a comprendere quanto alcune bevande possano farci male. E allo stesso tempo spingere verso un’attività fisica più presente.

Non è una novità che queste bevande non siano un toccasana per la nostra salute. Dobbiamo però renderci conto come ne bastino davvero delle piccole quantità per trovarci davanti a un rischio maggiore di patologie che dovremmo e potremmo evitare.
