Succhi di frutta e nettari: scopriamo queste bevande

In estate il succo di frutta è una bevanda molto utilizzata come sostituto all’acqua perché è in grado di rinfrescare, dissetare e nello stesso tempo gratificare il palato con il gusto della nostra frutta preferita. La domanda che presto o tardi tutti si fanno è: il succo di frutta contiene molte calorie? Innanzi tutto dobbiamo fare una distinzione tra succhi di frutta e nettari.

I succhi di frutta sono costituiti al 100% da frutta, e può esserci lo zucchero oppure no, i nettari invece hanno solo il 30 o il 50% di succo o polpa di frutta e vi sono aggiunti sia zucchero che acqua. Per quanto riguarda le calorie, esse variano a seconda del tipo di succo; in linea generale, in 100 g. di prodotto sono contenute dalle 25 alle 60 calorie che però aumentano nei nettari fino ad arrivare a 145 ogni 100 grammi.

Calorie a parte, i succhi di frutta, ma anche i nettari, sono nutrienti oltre che dissetanti, perché forniscono diversi sali minerali come magnesio, potassio e calcio; inoltre contengono antiossidanti come betacarotene e vitamina C. Scarseggiano le fibre, che si perdono durante la lavorazione, a meno di non essere succhi realizzati in modo artigianale.

Per chi non mangia molta frutta i succhi sono particolarmente utili, perché permettono di assumere quella quantità di frutta che non consumano nel modo tradizionale. L’ideale sarebbe bere i succhi che non presentano l’aggiunta di zuccheri in modo da limitare le calorie, e consumare poco i nettari che, oltre a contenere meno frutta, sono anche più calorici.

Tuttavia né succhi né nettari possono sostituire la frutta vera e propria, in quanto non apportano la giusta dose di fibre necessaria per il corretto funzionamento dell’intestino, ma anche le vitamine e i minerali che forniscono non possono competere con quelli che offrono la frutta fresca.
