Curcuma, alleata della linea. Ma chi può consumarla?

La curcuma può essere un ottima alleata della linea ma non è una spezia adatta a tutti, sia per sapore che per eventuali controindicazioni. Scopriamone qualcosa di più, analizzando quali benefici può apportare alla salute.

Sostanza contro radicali liberi e invecchiamento

Questa spezia è nota per l’effetto che possiede nel contrastare il bruciore di stomaco e i radicali liberi. Ma non tutti sanno che può essere utile anche per perdere peso, ovviamente se collegata a uno stile di vita sano e quindi a una corretta attività fisica. Entrando nello specifico quando si parla di curcuma si parla di una spezia che appartiene alla famiglia delle Zingiberaceae.

Un rimedio usato fin dall’antichità proprio come medicinale naturale nei paesi orientali. Attualmente in cucina si usa la sua radice sia fresca ma più di sovente liofilizzata. Parliamo di una spezia particolarmente ricca di vitamine, in particolare quelle del gruppo K, C, B ed E. E contenente buone dosi di fosforo e di calcio. La curcumina, è il suo principio attivo ed è nota per i suoi effetti antinfiammatori. Alcune ricerche hanno mostrato anche la sua capacità di tenere a bada i livelli di colesterolo nel sangue.

Tra le sue peculiarità più note  e apprezzate vi è anche quella di contrasto dei radicali liberi, considerati la causa dell’invecchiamento cellulare. Chi è dedito alla medicina naturale non di rado usa integratori a base di curcumina come antidolorifico.  E sebbene se ne parli poco, recentemente sembra essere stato notato come sia in grado di proteggere anche dal declino cognitivo.

Curcumina per perdere peso

Come abbiamo anticipato la curcuma sembra essere particolarmente adatta anche avere un sostegno nella perdita di peso. Sono stati diversi gli studi in merito e in particolare uno del 2019 a confermarlo. Questo, pubblicato sulla rivista di settore Frontiers in Pharmacology, ha portato alla luce come   l’assunzione di curcumina in pazienti con sindrome metabolica fosse in grado di causare una importante riduzione dell’indice di massa corporea e a una diminuzione di peso.

Fattore legato anche alla capacità di miglioramento nei confronti del metabolismo degli zuccheri e della sua capacità di evitare i picchi glicemici causa di attacchi di fame.  A quanto pare una maggiore sua capacità di favorire il dimagrimento è quella di mangiarla a crudo in accompagnamento. Secca in polvere va bene lo stesso, senza superare una dose di due cucchiaini di caffè al giorno.

La curcuma è adatta a tutti? La risposta è no. Il suo consumo infatti non è indicato per chi soffre di problemi alle vie biliari e di calcoli alla colecisti a chi a problemi renali ma anche di coagulazione del sangue.
