L’olio di vinaccioli viene usato sia in campo alimentare che in quello cosmetico: scopriamone le proprietà.

L’olio di vinaccioli viene estratto tramite la pressione dei semi d’uva e nonostante questa operazione mantiene inalterati tutti i suoi componenti benefici. La caratteristica nutrizionale più importante dell’olio di vinaccioli è l’elevato contenuto di acido linoleico, un acido grasso essenziale appartenente alla “famiglia” degli Omega 6, ma non è da meno neanche l’alto contenuto di polifenoli, delle sostanze dalle grandi proprietà antiossidanti.

Nonostante l’olio di vinaccioli contenga meno vitamina E rispetto ad altri oli vegetali, il suo contenuto di polifenoli compensa questa mancanza.

Olio di vinaccioli per uso cosmetico

L’olio di vinaccioli è molto utilizzato in ambito cosmetico perché contiene sostanze in grado contrastare l’invecchiamento della pelle, pertanto quest’olio viene usato soprattutto per la sua azione antiossidante e per proteggere la pelle dall’azione nociva dei radicali liberi e degli agenti atmosferici. I vinaccioli sono riocchi di fosforo, calcio e flavonoidi, tutti elementi dall’azione idratante e levigante; inoltre contengono anche alcuni acidi organici dalle proprietà schiarenti.

Massaggiare l’olio di vinaccioli direttamente sulla pelle, oppure usare prodotti specifici che lo contengono, serve a rendere la pelle più soda, elastica e luminosa, oltre rallentare la comparsa dei segni del tempo e stimolare la microcircolazione capillare.

Nonostante l’olio di vinaccioli venga usato soprattutto in ambito cosmetico può essere anche usato in cucina, ma solo a crudo dato che si altera con il calore a meno che non sia raffinato; inoltre, bisogna conservarlo in un luogo fresco e asciutto e al riparo da fonti di calore e dalla luce. Il sapore di quest’olio è agrodolce e il profumo vinoso e generalmente viene usato per condire insalate e formaggi freschi.

Pare che l’olio di vinaccioli sia in grado di ridurre il tasso di colesterolo nel sangue e che, grazie agli antiossidanti che contiene, svolga un’azione protettiva nei confronti del sistema cardiovascolare, ma attenzione: non bisogna eccedere con le dosi per non assumere troppe calorie e non eccedere con l’apporto di Omega 6.
