Il mirtillo è un classico frutto di bosco ed è molto famoso per essere un alimento ricco di antiossidanti e per essere molto indicato per aiutare la circolazione e rinforzare il microcircolo. Nello specifico quello di qualità rossa (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) è una fonte incredibile di ferro, fibre e soprattutto di vitamina c ed è molto usato anche per contrastare la cellulite.
I mirtilli rossi sono noti per proteggere dalle infezioni, soprattutto quelle alle vie urinarie, dalle micosi e dai virus. Inoltre, sono molto apprezzati nella cura dei calcoli renali, perché riducono il livello di calcio nelle urine, contrastano i disordini intestinali e le emorroidi. E sono alleati della pelle, infatti, si utilizzano per attenuare gli inestetismi come la couperose. Perché combatte la cellulite? La buccia d’arancia è un problema circolatorio e si manifesta a seguito del ristagno dei liquidi. I mirtilli rossi contengono vitamine del gruppo A e C, mirtillina, acido citrico e manganese. Questo mix di sostanze è molto indicato per rinforzare le pareti dei capillari, migliorando di conseguenza la circolazione.
Come assumerlo? È possibile tranquillamente mangiarlo al naturale, magari in abbinamento a quello nero, bere del succo o consumarne gli estratti. Dalle bacche, infatti, vengono estratte le antocianine, famosi antiossidanti, molto indicati per la cura della cellulite. Questo prodotto è alla base di molti integratori naturali, ma anche di gel, spray o creme per uso topico. In linea di massima l’assunzione di estratto secco (antocianosidi) dovrebbe essere di circa 60 mg al giorno, lontano dai pasti, per un paio di mesi. Il consiglio è dunque quello di prevedere una terapia, soprattutto nei periodi di affaticamento, per esempio in estate, quando il caldo mette le gambe a dura prova.
Il mirtillo rosso non si trova ovunque, ma sicuramente in erboristeria avrete la possibilità di farvi consigliare i prodotti migliori, altrimenti optate per il mirtillo nero, che resta comunque un eccellente frutto.
