Se la Canapa non fosse solo una pianta meravigliosa per la produzione di fibra per tessuti? Molte volte, alcuni prodotti, entrano nelle nostre vite e non ci chiediamo neanche da dove realmente vengono e se hanno anche altre funzioni. In campo vegetale, esistono continue scoperte e spesso quelle che sembravano piante insulse o strettamente legate a un ruolo hanno proprietà eccellenti. Un esempio è proprio la Canapa, da cui si può estrarre un preziosissimo olio.

L’olio di Canapa è molto caro, soprattutto se paragonato al tradizionale olio d’Oliva ma introdurlo nella dieta potrebbe essere un ottimo ricostituente o integratore. La Canapa, infatti,  è ricca di vitamine A, C ed E, carboidrati, fibre, minerali e proteine. Perché la Canapa non si usa a livello alimentare? Ovviamente, perché alcuni tipi contengono il principio attivo THC – delta-9-tetraidrocannabinolo (quello che ha proprietà stupefacenti).

È necessario quindi imparare a fare una distinzione e soprattutto ampliare le ricerche (alcuni studi dimostrano che per avere effetti come quelli della cannabis bisognerebbe berne dai 5 ai 9 litri al dì). La discussione è molto calda in Occidente e come sapete, in alcuni Paesi hanno legalizzato l’utilizzo della marijuana o ne hanno approvato l’uso in campo medico. Recenti analisi hanno dimostrato che l’Olio contiene acido linoleico, steroli e alcoli alifatici, tutte sostanze preziose per la salute. Gli esperti sostengono che possa essere in grado di prevenire le malattie coronariche e quelle di tipo cronico. Ecco perché qualche goccia al giorno nella propria dieta può essere solo che salutare.

L’olio si estrae dai semi, che a loro volta hanno proprietà antifiammatorie, rinforzano il sistema immunitario, contrastano le malattie respiratorie, cardiovascolari, il colesterolo alto, l’artrosi e le malattie della pelle (come l’acne).  In campo alimentare si possono utilizzare per insaporire l’insalata, ma anche da aggiungere agli impasti, come quello del pane e dei biscotti. Come si utilizza? Si consuma a crudo, per preservarne le proprietà nutritive e si può aggiungere a piatti salati e dolci. Ha un sapore leggero e gradevole, ricorda un po’ la nocciola. Si trova nei negozi biologici e deve essere conservato in frigorifero una volta aperto. Quanto costa? Sul mercato si trova a circa 40/50 euro al litro, una cifra elevatissima. Considerate che l’olio d’oliva viaggia tra i 5 e i 30 euro. Mediamente le bottigliette da 200 ml si trovano a 12 euro.
