Quello che hanno confermato gli ultimi studi è che è molto difficile sostenere quanto questo genere di alimentazione senza carne sia in grado di prevenire il tumore. Detto ciò, se seguita con attenzione, è un regime estremamente sano che dà al corpo tutto ciò di cui ha bisogno. Ecco quindi 5 miti da sfatare.
Si è a rischio carenza proteica
È falso. Non esistono solo le proteine animali, ci sono anche quelle vegetariane. Bisogna semplicemente stare attenti agli apporti e scegliere più legumi e cereali per compensare.
Solo dal latte si prende il calcio
È falso. Non esiste solo il latte vaccino e i suoi derivati come fonte di calcio. Dopo una certa età tra l’altro non si riesce a digerire il lattosio, quindi diventa inutile avere questa convinzione. È più importante condurre una vita sana, conoscere le fonti vegetali e soprattutto conoscere i fattori che influenzano l’assorbimento, come prendere sole nelle giuste quantità.
Non mangiare carne causa anemia
Il rischio anemia c’è solo se non si soddisfa il nostro corpo con prodotti vegetali che non ne contengono. Esistono poi due tipi di ferro. Il ferro eme e il ferro non eme. Il ferro eme è contenuto nelle carni e nelle uova, costituendo quasi il 40% dell’intero contenuto di ferro di questi alimenti ed è facilmente assorbibile i. Il ferro non eme, invece, che costituisce l’altro 60% del ferro di origine animale e il 100% del ferro vegetale, è molto poco assorbibile.
La frutta secca ingrassa
È molto calorica, ma mangiata senza esagerare mantiene basso il colesterolo ed ricca di antiossidanti.
Salutare perché priva di grassi
Falso anche questo. Non è più salutare perché non contiene grassi e i grassi nelle giuste quantità non fanno male.
