Si propone come alternativa al mondo confezionato con l’intento di ridurre l’impronta ambientale dei prodotti.
Se tutti sviluppassimo un po’ più di consapevolezza, potrebbe beneficiarne anche l’ambiente, dalla nostra dieta. Forse non si tratta per tutti di una scelta consapevole, ma secondo la Coldiretti, sono quindici milioni le persone che mettono nel carrello prodotti locali a chilometri zero che non devono percorrere lunghe distanza con mezzi di trasporto inquinanti.
Solo la rete di vendita diretta degli agricoltori di Campagna Amica della Coldiretti ha quasi diecimila riferimenti in tutta Italia. Un italiano su due, invece, secondo l’indagine Doxa per Coop, acquista regolarmente prodotti tipici e l’Italia, sottolinea la Coldiretti, è l’unico Paese che può vantare 273 prodotti a denominazione di origine (Dop/Igp) e oltre ventimila agriturismi. Sono ottimi dati, che possono trasformarsi in una vera e propria risorsa per il nostro Paese.
L’Italia è al vertice della sicurezza alimentare mondiale con il minor numero di prodotti agroalimentari con residui chimici irregolari (0,4%), quota inferiore di quasi 4 volte rispetto alla media europea (1,4%) e di quasi 20 volte quella dei prodotti extracomunitari (7,5%). Questa possiamo definirla la svolta green italiana, tanto che il 70% si dichiara disposto a spendere qualcosa in più per i prodotti naturali e il 65% per quelli ogm free. Voi da che parte state?
