Perché le prugne ti aiutano a perdere peso? Un etto di prugne secche (circa 10 frutti) apportano tra 159 e 230 calorie. Contengono circa il 35% di zuccheri come glucosio e fruttosio, che danno subito energia e contribuiscono a far avvertire in fretta il senso di sazietà. Le prugne secche hanno anche una funzione diuretica, utile per liberare l’organismo dalle tossine d’origine alimentare. Inoltre sono ricche di fibre: ne contengono circa 10-16 grammi per etto. Ne bastano 3-4 al giorno per prevenire la stipsi.
Dopo un pasto iper calorico o un periodo di stravizi alimentari, basta consumare una decina di prugne secche al giorno per 3-4 giorni e l’organismo si depura e si alleggerisce. Nonostante siano spesso sottovalutate a livello nutrizionale, le prugne secche d’origine biologica, oltre ad avere un gusto e una consistenza accattivanti, hanno interessanti proprietà per chi intende smaltire qualche chilo. Innanzirutto sono energetiche ma senza essere troppo caloriche: infatti, un etto di prugne secche (che corrisponde più o meno a una decina di frutti) può apportare tra le 150 e le 230 calorie.
Ma mangiare una decina di prugne è davvero un’eccezione, perché questi frutti risultano sazianti già a piccole dosi: infatti, grazie al processo di essiccazione, contengono ben il 35% di zuccheri (contro il 10% circa delle prugne fresche) tra cui glucosio e fruttosio, utilizzati e metabolizzati velocemente quando subentra l’attacco di fame. I pregi delle prugne secche non finiscono qui. Questo serbatoio di energia ha anche proprietà diuretiche, cosa che le rende ideali come cura disintossicante dopo periodi di eccessi alimentari.
Inoltre, sono indicate per regolarizzare l’attività del fegato e soprattutto quella dell’intestino. Infatti, le prugne hanno la fama di avere proprietà lassative, dovute al fatto che contengono nel succo piccole dosi di una particolare sostanza, la difenilisatina, la quale stimola i movimenti dell’intestino che servono a favorire l’evacuazione delle feci. Quest’azione blandamente lassativa è accentuata nelle prugne secche, per via della concentrazione dei principi attivi e delle fibre, ed è favorita anche dalla presenza di due zuccheri, il fruttosio e il sorbitolo. A proposito di fibre, le prugne secche ne contengono circa 10-16 grammi per etto, contro i 2 grammi in media del frutto fresco.
