La dieta a base di omogeneizzati, promette di far perdere 9 chili in 6 settimane ed è frutto di Tracy Anderson, trainer personale di numerosi personaggi del jet set internazionale.
Secondo la Anderson, infatti, gli omogeneizzati sono migliori dei cibi per adulti poiché subiscono controlli più rigorosi e contengono dosi inferiori di zuccheri, grassi e sale, i nemici principali della silhouette, oltre che del cuore. Inoltre, gli omogeneizzati hanno un modesto apporto calorico (circa 150 calorie a confezione).
La baby Food Diet prevede il consumo di omogeneizzati (frutta, verdura e carne) ad intervalli di tempo piuttosto ravvicinati durante l’arco dell’intera giornata. Inoltre, è permesso consumare un pasto “da adulti” solo 1 volta al giorno, ma ipocalorico. Secondo Tracy Anderson, il sistema funziona e aiuta a liberarsi di ben 9 chili in poco più di 1 mese e mezzo. Sembra che i clienti siano soddisfatti, soprattutto in Gran Bretagna, dove un produttore locale ha messo sul mercato un apposito omogeneizzato per adulti, una specie di porridge per bambini, che sta andando decisamente a ruba.
Ma non tutti i pareri sono positivi riguardo alla dieta degli omogeneizzati, anche tra gli stessi anglosassoni. Tra i critici più severi, la British Dietetic Association (BDA), che, in modo canzonatorio, ha dichiarato che la Baby Food Diet dovrebbe far crescere. Anche i medici del Regno Unito non si sono dichiarati a favore della dieta degli omogeneizzati, che pur non essendo pericolosa, non è comunque adatta agli adulti.
Le persone adulte, infatti, devono masticare gli alimenti da cui traggono non solo nutrimento per il corpo, ma anche per l’anima. Secondo i medici inglesi, infatti, un consumo prolungato di cibo omogeneizzato porterebbe alla depressione.
