La dieta che “mima” il digiuno allunga la vita

Digiunare fa bene alla salute, con moderazione. Lo hanno detto in tanti. Arriva così un nuovo regime dimagrante che inganna il nostro corpo: si basa su un ridotto contenuto proteico e un mix speciale di grassi, carboidrati e micronutrienti, con un apporto calorico giornaliero dimezzato. Bisogna seguire questa dieta per 5 giorni ogni 3-6 mesi e non solo manterranno la linea, ma anche la salute.

Il nome è molto semplice: ‘Dmd’ o dieta mima-digiuno ed è stata sperimentata con successo da uno scienziato italiano Valter Longo, della University of Southern California (Usc) e dell’Istituto Firc di oncologia molecolare (Ifom) di Milano. Il dottore ha così commentato:

Si tratta di riprogrammare il corpo in modo tale da farlo entrare in una modalità di invecchiamento più lento, ma anche di ringiovanirlo attraverso una rigenerazione che si basa sulle cellule staminali.

Longo ha testato questo regime su se stesso e un’altra ventina di persone e sulle cavie da laboratorio. Sembra essere molto salutare. Dopo 3 cicli sono stati fatti gli esami di alcuni biomarcatori per invecchiamento, diabete, malattie cardiovascolari e cancro, con risultati sorprendenti. La Dmd ha aumentato l’ormone Igfbp-1 e ridotto biomarcatori e fattori di rischio legati a diabete e malattie cardiovascolari, senza influire negativamente sulla massa muscolare e ossea.

Inoltre, costa davvero pochissima fatica, perché questo pseudo digiuno dura solo 5 giorni ed è consigliabile ogni 3 o 6 mesi. Come si stabilisce? Dipende della circonferenza addominale e dello stato di salute. Per le persone obese o a rischio elevato, la Dmd periodica potrebbe essere prescritta ogni 2 settimane.
