Chi soffre di gonfiore e contemporancamente è  in sovrappeso, infatti, nota spesso delle forti oscillazioni dell’ago della bilancia; per esempio, si aumenta di 2 kg da un giorno all’altro, anche se a tavola non si è esagerato più di tanto. La colpa, nel 90% dei casi, è l’abitudine a consu­mare troppi cibi lievitati.

Lieviti di  birra e di pane aggiunti alla farina inglobano aria. Da una parte consentono così di ottenere un prodotto alimentare più soffice e morbido, ma dall’altra rischiano di scatenare o peggiorare fenomeni di gonfiore alla pancia. Oltre a ciò i cibi lievitati e fermentati acidificano i tessuti, bloccando i processi metabolici e favorendo di riflesso l’accumulo di grassi e tossine. Se vuoi liberarti dall’intolleranza ai cibi lievitati ed educare il tuo palato agli alimenti privi di lievito, devi per almeno 15 giorni fare un piccolo sforzo ed evitare assolutamente di mangiare il pane, in parti­colare quello preparato con farina bianca.

 

No an­che a pizza, focacce, torte con lievito e agli estratti nascosti di lievito presenti in birra, sidro, dadi da brodo e in tutti i cibi fermentati: tra questi ci sono molti formaggi (specialmente gorgonzola, emmental, taleggio ecc.), la panna acida, varie salse (inclusa quella di soia), la frutta secca (uvette, pru­gne ecc.), gli aceti di vino (incluso il tipo balsami­co), sottaceti e tutti i cibi che, una volta cucinati, non vengono consumati dopo 24-48 ore dalla cot­tura. Se non ce la fai a rinunciare a questi alimenti, cerca almeno di ridurne le quantità.

La radice di altea è estremamente ricca di fibre e mucillagini che aiutano a ridurre l’assorbimento delle sostanze alimentari fermentate, sbloccare il metabolismo e favorire lo smaltimento di zuccheri e grassi in eccesso. Prendi 60 mg (circa un cucchiaino) di mucillagini liofilizzate in un bicchiere d’acqua prima di pranzo e prima di cena. I cumino (Carum carvio cumino dei prati), da non confondere col cumino indiano (Cunninum cymínum) da cui si ricava il curry, ha azione depurativa, elimina i gas intestinali in eccesso e regolarizza la funzione intestinale. Si assume in decotto: far bollire 30 g di semi di cumino in un litro di acqua per 5 minuti, far riposare 10 minuti, filtrare e berne mezza tazza dopo i pasti principali.
