colazione proteicaLa colazione è il pasto più importante della giornata, vietato saltarla, anche se si è a dieta, anzi: soprattutto se si è a dieta, basta solo scegliere la colazione giusta, ossia ricca di proteine; in questo modo saremo sazi più a lungo e il nostro peso ne gioverà. A sostenerlo è un nuovo studio condotto dai ricercatori dell’Università del Missouri e pubblicato su “The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition”.

Lo studio in questione è stato condotto su venti ragazze con un’età media di 19 anno, sovrappeso o obese, che generalmente non facevano la colazione. Le ragazze sono stare divise in due gruppi: un gruppo ha continuato a saltare la colazione, mentre le altre hanno assunto 350 calorie mangiando uova, carne magra di manzo o cereali, il tutto per sei giorni. Alla fine del periodo di ricerca, i medici hanno effettuato le analisi e hanno confermato il fatto che saltare la colazione non aiuta a perdere peso, ma non solo, come spiega la dottoressa Heather Leidy, coordinatrice dello studio:

Abbiamo riscontrato che un pasto molto ricco di proteine aumenta il senso di pienezza, di sazietà, e riduce l’attività delle aree cerebrali responsabili del controllo del desiderio di cibo. Iniziare la giornata con una colazione ricca di proteine potrebbe essere una potenziale strategia per evitare di abbuffarsi nel corso della giornata e migliorare la qualità della dieta degli adolescenti con problemi di peso.

Non a caso, infatti, le ragazze che avevano mangiato uova e carne al mattino, non hanno sentito la necessità di fare spuntini durante il giorno.

Pare proprio, quindi, che quello che mangiamo al mattino incida sulle scelte alimentari dell’intera giornata, da qui l’importanza di scegliere la colazione giusta. Quale sarebbe? Secondo il dottor Andrea Ghiselli, nutrizionista del Consiglio per la Ricerca e la Sperimentazione in Agricolturam, anche la colazione tipica italiana andrebbe bene:

Consiglio una bella tazza di latte o yogurt: 250 grammi contengono già più di 8 grammi di proteine, oltre che preziosissimi nutrienti come calcio, grassi e carboidrati. Accompagnata da biscotti o una merendina, oppure da pane, meglio se integrale, e marmellata, o cereali,meglio se con fibra, e un frutto.

Da non prendere, quindi, troppo alla lettera la ricerca made in Usa: mangiare ogni mattina uova e bacon, alla lunga andrebbe a danneggiare il colon e le coronarie. Amate i salumi? Non superate le due porzioni a settimana e non esagerate neanche con il consumo di uova e di formaggio.

La prima colazione è importante anche per i bambini: insegnate loro a non saltare questo importantissimo pasto che scandisce il ritmo fame-sazietà per tutto il giorno.
