Il problema del sovrappeso riguarda, secondo le stime, oltre il 36% degli italiani, senza contare il fenomeno dell’obesità, in costante crescita nel nostro Paese: basti pensare che dal 1994 ad oggi gli obesi sono aumentati del 25% e ad oggi sono circa 6 milioni. Proprio per sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica su questi fenomeni, durante il mese di maggio, in 500 farmacie Apoteca Natura prenderà il via il progetto “Bilancia il tuo peso, misura la tua salute”, in collaborazione con SIMG, Società Italiana di Medicina Generale, per sensibilizzare popolazione su questi problemi.
Oltre all’obesità e al sovrappeso degli adulti, l’Italia ha anche un triste primato: il Paese europeo con più bambini e adolescenti in sovrappeso e obesi; purtroppo, da noi, è ancora diffusa la credenza che avere un aspetto “florido” sia un segno di buona salute: al contrario, il sovrappeso comporta dei gravi rischi per la salute.
Proprio per sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica è stato creato il progetto “Bilancia il tuo peso, misura la tua salute” di Apoteca Natura, il network di farmacie specializzate in rimedi naturali e omeopatici. Nelle farmacie aderenti al progetto si potrà compilare una Scheda sulle Misurazioni Antropometriche, ossia peso, altezza, indice di massa corporea, misure dei fianchi, delle cosce e dell’addome, e poi sarà disponibile online una Mappa del Comportamento Alimentare che proporrà consigli alimentari personalizzati.
Questa campagna promossa da Apoteca Natura in collaborazione con i medici di medicina generale, offre la possibilità di essere aiutati nella scelta dei modi migliori per ritrovare il proprio peso forma senza ricorrere a metodi pericolosi per la salute come, ad esempio le diete fai da te o i farmaci anoressizzanti.
Il progetto andrà avanti per tutto il mese di maggio e a partire da giugno il servizio di controllo del peso diventerà un servizio permanente nelle farmacie Apoteca Natura. Il questionario, anonimo, può essere compilato anche via internet sul sito www.apotecanatura.it, per poi ritirare i risultai nelle farmacia più vicina, l’elenco è sempre consultabile sul sito web.
E’ bene ricordare, inoltre, che con la parola “dieta” non si intende per forza un processo con un effetto dimagrante, bensì uno stile alimentare equilibrato e sano, coadiuvato da un po’ di attività fisica.
