Secondo una ricerca condotta di recente dall’Università La Sapienza di Roma, consumare cereali, frutta, verdura e pesce, ricchi di amminoacidi e antiossidanti, migliora la qualità del liquido seminale maschile, soprattutto la concentrazione degli spermatozoi e la motilità, al contrario, il consumo di dolci e i chili di troppo minerebbero il potenziale riproduttivo.
La ricerca ha raccolto la più grande casistica internazionale: ad oggi sono 130 gli uomini osservati con un’età media di 33 anni, ed entro maggio saranno 300 i soggetti esaminati.
Come ha spiegato il direttore della Sezione di fisiopatologia medica ed endocrinologia dell’Università La Sapienza Andrea Lenzi:
Dalle nostre analisi si evince come il consumo di frutta incida favorevolmente sulla concentrazione degli spermatozoi, mentre al contrario l’indice di massa corporea (BMI) e il consumo di dolci sembrano influenzare negativamente sia la concentrazione che la motilità spermatica. Gli uomini con problemi di fertilità cosnumano anche piu`frequentemente cibi che agiscono da vettori di sostanze deleterie per il sistema riproduttivo, come gli xenoestrogeni. Il nostro studio sembra confermare i risultati di altre ricerche internazionali condotte precedentemente sul ruolo della frutta nel migliorare la qualità seminale.
Dunque, via libera a frutta, cereali e pesce, alimenti ricchi di aminoacidi e antiossidanti preziosi. Lenzi, inoltre, ha sottolineato l’importanza della prevenzione delle patologie andrologiche, spesso poco conosciute, nonostante il 10% delle coppie con problemi di infertilità debba ricercare la causa proprio nell’uomo. Senza considerare gli svariati milioni di italiani che soffrono di eiaculazione precoce e disfunzione erettile.
Secondo l’andrologo, la colpa sarebbe da addebitare ad un gap culturale, che deve essere colmato, poiché perché in andrologia la prevenzione può determinare la qualità della vita di milioni di persone e, in alcuni casi, addirittura salvarla.
Gli uomini, come si suol dire, sono avvisati. I dolci e i chili di troppo non fanno bene alla coppia, soprattutto se cerca di avere un figlio.
