Un aiuto nel dimagrimento e nel rassodamento cutaneo viene dalle alghe; nonostante ormai le alghe siano piuttosto diffuse nella nostra alimentazione, molte persone ancora storcono la bocca al pensiero di mangiare le alghe: eppure questi vegetali marini sono ottimi per stimolare il metabolismo e bruciare i grassi.
In particolare, le alghe azzurre, come ad esempio la laminaria, sono ricche di iodio, utile per stimolare il metabolismo, aumentano la produzione di collagene ed elastina, migliorando l’elasticità cutanea e, quindi, contrastando la cellulite. Oltre ad essere ricche di iodio, le alghe sono una fonte importante di minerali come calcio, ferro, magnesio e potassio, di vitamine e di proteine.
Usare le alghe nell’alimentazione non significa mangiarle come piatto principale della dieta, bensì usarle come “integratore”, magari aggiungendole alle preparazioni oppure utilizzandole come sostituti di alcuni condimenti.
Ad esempio, al posto del sale si può usare un preparato ottenuto miscelando un cucchiaino di sale marino, un cucchiaino di origano e uno di alghe in fiocchi per uso alimentare: oltre a sapore al cibo possiede un ottimo effetto drenante. Per dare sapore alle insalate di può preparare un’emulsione a base di aceto di mele, un cucchiaio di olio extravergine di oliva e due cucchiaini di alga kombu.
Per rassodare la pelle e renderla elastica si possono usare le alghe anche per uso esterno; molto utili sono gli impacchi a base di fanghi d’alga che si trovano già pronti in commercio nei negozi di cibi naturali e biologici.
