Olimpiadi di Rio 2016, la dieta degli atleti

Sono partite le Olimpiadi di Rio 2016 e ovviamente gli atleti dovranno sostenere un forte stress fisico e mentale. Ma qual è la dieta più adatta alle loro esigenze? La cosa importante è che sia ricca, variegata, senza limitazioni di prodotti e possibilmente energetica quanto basta.

Pensando a una dieta adatta agli atleti è necessario partire dagli alimenti proteici, ottimi per ogni genere di attività fisica. A cominciare quindi da carne, bianca e rossa, ai legumi. Se ci riferiamo in particolar modo a Rio 2016 una parentesi va riservata anche al caldo: io consiglio alimenti con alta concentrazione di magnesio e potassio. Per un’attività agonistica così impegnativa, sarebbe consigliabile utilizzare un estrattore di succhi per dare al piatto il maggior contenuto nutrizionale possibile

Via libera a pollo e tacchino, insieme a pasta, pesce e verdure, senza dimenticare di consumare almeno 2 litri di liquidi al giorno. Promossi poi i centrifugati, magari con estratti di succo di limone, zenzero e sedano, oppure con fragole, banane, meloni e pesche, tutti da abbinare a piatti preparati con alimenti proteici e nutrienti.

Sono poi una scelta eccellente anche il mango e la papaya, frutti che si trovano facilmente in Brasile, i legumi e i cereali. Mai rinunciare alla pasta, possibilmente mantecata con dell’olio e magari del pomodoro. Così si abbassa l’indice glicemico del piatto ed è più digeribile. La tuffatrice Tania Cagnotto ha svelato parte della sua alimentazione:

“Si parte al mattino con una colazione a base di pane di farro, ricotta e un caffè, per pranzo una pasta condita in modo molto semplice, in bianco o col tonno; per cena carne, preferibilmente bianca e verdure, oppure minestre di legumi”.
