La dieta ormonale
Da quando Barry Sears ipotizzò l’importanza delle risposte ormonali all’assunzione di cibo traendone spunto per formulare la sua dieta a zona, l’interesse verso quest’argomento ha subito un inarrestabile crescendo. Negli ultimi anni l’endocrinologo belga Thierry Hertoghe ha riscosso un grande successo con l’uscita del suo libro “La dieta ormonale”. Una evoluzione straordinaria rispetto alla dieta a zona perché non si limita alla stimolazione di certi ormoni (insulina, glucagone, eicosanoidi) ma va oltre: una dieta che parte da uno studio ormonale del soggetto e finalizzata a produrre la massima efficienza e il corretto peso lavorando sulla opportuna stimolazione delle ghiandole attraverso gli alimenti.
L’eliminazione dei famosi blocchi della dieta a zona e della distribuzione fissa dei macronutrienti risulta agevolare l’applicazione di questa dieta. Mettendo come punto di partenza gli squilibri e le carenze ormonali del soggetto, caratterizzandolo inquadrandolo da un punto di vista ormonale, e gli obiettivi da raggiungere si arriva alla formulazione di consigli dietetici personalizzati. Lo studio del profilo ormonale è, a detta dell’autore, valutabile anche da una osservazione delle caratteristiche somatiche e attraverso alcuni test che indagano su alcune caratteristiche funzionali, comportamentali e fisiche del soggetto.
Stabilite carenze ed obiettivi, la dieta ormonale viene costruita su un adeguato apporto calorico e sulla distribuzione di principi nutritivi che hanno il compito di stimolare particolari ghiandole. Ad esempio i carboidrati, frutta e verdura sono forti stimolatori della tiroide. Un buon apporto di grassi e proteine favorisce una buona produzione di GH e testosterone che, insieme al DHEA, possono essere responsabili degli accumuli adiposi addominali. Nelle donne, il seno allargato, magari aumentato di una taglia rispetto al termine dell’adolescenza o teso e dolente soprattutto prima delle mestruazioni è segno di ridotti livelli di progesterone, soprattutto in relazione alla quantità di estrogeni.
Un deficit di progesterone protratto nel tempo, può manifestarsi come sindrome premestruale, con la zona periombelicale gonfia e dilatata, mestruazioni abbondanti e dolorose accompagnate da ansia ed irritabilità. Per favorire le funzioni del progesterone gli alimenti utili sono le proteine animali, provenienti soprattutto dalla carne sia rossa che bianca, e un adeguato apporto di grassi.
In generale si punta l’indice contro l’eccessivo consumo di cereali, alimenti non idonei al genere umano secondo l’autore, soprattutto se raffinati, poichè evoluzionisticamente non compatibili e ad una totale assoluzione di carni e grassi verso cui l’adattamento genetico è già da molti più anni consolidato. In questa ottica è invece assolutamente rivalutata la funzione dei grassi e anche del colesterolo in quanto precursore di tutti gli ormoni! Non vanno quindi evitati ma correttamente guidati all’interno dell’organismo.
Un’attenzione particolare è rivolta anche ai metodi di cottura dei cibi affinchè non acquisiscano tossicità e possano compiere la propria “missione ormonale”. Forma fisica, invecchiamento, fertilità, attività sessuale, efficacia muscolare sono dunque sotto il governo degli equilibri ormonali. Una dieta ed una eventuale integrazione con piante dal provato effetto “ormone-stimolante” che sappiano consentire al corpo di produrre gli ormoni giusti al momento giusto è garanzia di una giovinezza prolungata e di una forma fisica eccellente.
ho un problema piuttosto serio per me anche se al momento non ho problemi di sovrappeso,comunque come mi finisce il ciclo da tre mesi a questa parte inizio ad ovulare per la bellezza di due settimane e prendo tre kg precisi immagino di gonfiore,non mi entra addirittura la fede,gli occhi sono gonfissimi,le caviglie…passato questo periodo dalla sera alla sera successiva perdo i 3 kg senza sforzo.comme posso evitare questo sbalzo di peso che in più mi sfiacca da paura?e non è tanto estetico perchè mi trasformo?grazie attendo risposta ho 44 anni le analisi ormonali erano normali.ditemi cosa dovrei mangiare visto che in quel periodo elimino tutto.
