Dieta iperproteica, quali sono i rischi?

La dieta iperproteica viene quasi sempre scelta con la convinzione che permetta un dimagrimento più rapido. Per anni è passato il messaggio, più che negativo, che le proteine fossero essenziali per perdere peso. In realtà non è così. La dieta iperproteica non è una dieta dimagrante, è una dieta che mette a rischio il rene, il fegato, il cuore e il cervello.

Attenzione la dieta iperproteica è una dieta che uno potrebbe seguire dopo aver fatto delle abbuffate di carboidrati e grassi perché magari per 4 o 5 giorni ha mangiato tanta pasta, tanto riso, tanto pane, tanta frutta e non ha mai mangiato proteine; a quel punto con 2-3 giorni di dieta iperproteica si riequilibra. Non utilizzatela comunque se non quando un buon dietologo vi dica: solo per un giorno o due per rimettere equilibrio in ciò che avete squilibrato con carboidrati e grassi.

Ha specificato il professor Giorgio Calabrese. Quali sono i rischi?

  • L’esclusiva introduzione di proteine non assicura un vero nutrimento poiché l’organismo, “bisognoso” di glucosio per motivi funzionali, prima o poi andrà a demolire le fonti energetiche di glicogeno e lipidi, contenute nei tessuti muscolari e nel fegato.
  • Altera il metabolismo del calcio: ciò implica un malassorbimento osseo che può favorire l’osteoporosi.
  • Si rischia l’effetto yoyo. Smettendo di assumere carboidrati è come se venisse inviato al cervello un messaggio di dover integrare le riserve energetiche, non appena queste riprenderanno a essere riempite.
  • Assumere troppe proteine procura danni renali perché produce la formazione di acido urico che, depositandosi nei reni, comporta un maggior rischio di calcoli renali.
