Per eliminare cellulite e adipe localizzato soprattutto su glutei e cosce, molti decidono di ricorrere alla liposuzione, un intervento chirurgico che permette di rimuovere inare il grasso tramite aspirazione; a volte, però, dopo qualche tempo dall’operazione, il problema può riproporsi, ossia è possibile assistere alla ricomparsa del grasso.
Secondo una ricerca condotta recentemente dalla University of Colorado, negli Stati Uniti, dopo un anno di distanza dalla liposuzione il grasso ritorna e si concentra soprattutto nella parte superiore del corpo. Lo studio è stato condotto su 32 donne: 14 di queste sono state sottoposte a liposuzione mentre le altre no; poi sono stati confrontati i risultati in termini di perdita di grasso corporeo.
Dopo sei mesi le donne che si erano sottoposte alla liposuzione avevano perso il 2,1% di grasso, mentre le altre solo lo 0,28% a parità di alimentazione; dopo un anno, però, queste differenze erano scomparse, in quanto, pare che il grasso eliminato tramite liposuzione sia ricomparso nella parte superiore del corpo e precisamente su braccia, spalle e addome, mentre gambe e glutei erano rimasti magri per via dell’intervento.
In poche parole, a un anno dalla liposuzione, la percentuale di grasso aspirata ritorna pur localizzandosi in una parte del corpo diversa.
Proprio alla luce di questi risultati, raccomandano gli esperti, dovrebbe essere chiaro che la liposuzione non deve essere considerata il sostitutivo di una dieta o di un’alimentazione equilibrata, bensì un intervento chirurgico a cui ricorrere solo in presenza di problemi seri come lipomi oppure obesità.
Il dottor Giulio Basoccu chirurgo plastico dell’università La Sapienza di Roma spiega infatti:
La liposuzione non è un sistema per dimagrire definitivamente, ma solo un metodo per rimodellare parti del corpo eliminando gli accumuli localizzati di grasso. Dopo una liposuzione, così come dopo una normale dieta dimagrante, è fondamentale mantenere un regime calorico controllato, proprio per evitare di acquistare di nuovo peso e grasso. Questo perché la liposuzione è, appunto, un sistema per perdere il grasso accumulato in eccesso in zone localizzate e non un metodo che consenta di non riacquistare più il peso perso.
