Il metabolismo è una macchina meravigliosa e complessa, che va aiutata con un’alimentazione corretta. Se vi accorgete che nonostante l’attività fisica, vi è una predisposizione a prendere peso, potrebbe essere un po’ lento. Spesso la causa è il malfunzionamento della tiroide. Fatta questa premessa, quali sono i cibi che possono dare una scossa alla nostra linea?

Per non accumulare peso, è necessario mantenere sempre il metabolismo alto. Come si fa? Evitando i lungi digiuni e possibilmente facendo pasti piccoli e ravvicinati. È quindi un errore in questo caso non mangiare per dimagrire. I cibi che possono aiutare maggiormente questo processo sono le proteine, quindi la carne (meglio la carne bianca e magra), il pesce, le uova, ma anche i legumi e cereali (miglio, amaranto, quinoa e riso basmati) e i latticini. Per quale motivo? Perché il corpo impiega più tempo a digerirle e di conseguenza brucia di più, che non con i carboidrati.  Le proteine aumentano il senso di sazietà e stimolano il rilascio di glucagone, un ormone che favorisce lo smaltimento dei grassi accumulati.

Per evitare di appesantire le funzionalità renali e mantenere equilibrati i livelli di insulina, ricordate di accompagnare le proteine sempre con della verdura e prevedete nel corso della giornata almeno una porzione di carboidrati (pasta o pane). È fondamentale durante la dieta bere molto: ci deve essere acqua a volontà, mentre vanno evitate le bibite zuccherate e gassate e le bevande alcoliche.

Per idratare correttamente il corpo e per mangiare verdura, vanno benissimo le minestre e le zuppe. Tra l’altro si possono consumare senza limiti di quantità in qualsiasi ora della giornata. Si consiglia, inoltre, di bere del tè verde, mentre bisogna moderare il caffè. Quest’ultimo (solo se miscela arabica) deve essere assunto la mattina, senza zucchero e latte. Dà energia e migliora le prestazioni fisiche. E quale condimento è ammesso? Olio extravergine d’oliva a crudo.
