È il messaggio dei ginecologi italiani che si sono di recente riuniti a Milano per il 90° congresso nazionale della Società Italiana di Ginecologia e Ostetricia (SIGO), del 55° congresso nazionale della Associazione Ostetrici Ginecologi Italiani (AOGOI) e del 22° congresso nazionale dell’Associazione ginecologi Universitari Italiani (AGUI).
La salute riproduttiva femminile, la fisiologia stessa della gravidanza e la crescita del feto, il benessere in pre e post menopausa dipendono in larga misura dalla qualità del profilo nutrizionale. I risultati degli studi scientifici degli ultimi 10 anni hanno evidenziato il ruolo della corretta dieta per favorire la fertilità, ridurre le complicazioni ostetriche, prevenire alcuni dei principali difetti malformativi, facilitare la qualità della crescita fetale e in particolare del sistema cardiovascolare e del sistema nervoso centrale. Noi ginecologi abbiamo perciò deciso di dedicare alla nutrizione della donna il nostro congresso annuale, Vogliamo cogliere le sinergie e le opportunità che EXPO 2015 apporta a queste tematiche.
Hanno confermato gli esperti Mauro Busacca, Claudio Crescini, Luigi Fedele e Francesco Raspagliesi. I dati presentati sono abbastanza chiari: quasi 14 milioni di italiane hanno più 50 anni e stanno affrontando la menopausa. Il 58% delle donne italiane ammette di sentirsi peggio di prima della fine del ciclo mestruale. Il 57% non svolge la consueta visita ginecologica annuale. Sette su 10 lamentano un aumento di peso. Però solo il 30% ammette di seguire una dieta corretta e il 26% pratica regolarmente sport.
