sport prima di colazioneSpesso si dice che fare ginnastica al mattino prima di colazione faccia dimagrire di più: questa credenza è assolutamente vera e anche supportata da teorie scientifiche. Non pensate che serva chissà quale ginnastica di prima mattina: anche solo una passeggiata, purché a stomaco vuoto, aiuta a smaltire di più e meglio i grassi in eccesso.

La ricerca è stata condotta dal dipartimento di Scienze mediche e cardiovascolari dell’Università di Glasgow, in Scozia, e pubblicato sul British Journal of Nutrition, ma aspettate a cantare vittoria: i benefici sarebbero solo per gli uomini. I ricercatori sono partiti da un altro studio del 2010 secondo il quale i maschi bruciano più grassi a stomaco vuoto; per questa nuova ricerca gli esperti hanno utilizzato un campione di dieci uomini in sovrappeso, sedentari e con un’età media di 28 anni.

Per calcolare il dispendio energetico, i pazienti sono stati sottoposti a tre attività fisiche differenti; nella prima fase non è stato svolto nessun esercizio fisico, nella seconda hanno camminato a passo veloce per circa un’ora prima di colazione, nella terza hanno effettuato la stessa camminata però dopo la colazione.

Dai risultati è emerso che la ginnastica fatta prima di colazione ha fatto bruciare ben il 33% di grasso in più rispetto a quella effettuata a stomaco pieno; il motivo è abbastanza semplice: fare sport a stomaco vuoto costringe l’organismo ad usare le riserve di grasso, bruciandone anche di più.

Dopo questi incoraggianti risultati tutti a fare attività fisica prima di colazione? I ricercatori invitano alla prudenza:

Non bisogna aspettarsi risultati-lampo, perché 60 minuti di camminata quotidiana per dieci giorni di fila fanno dimagrire circa mezzo chilo. Se lo scopo è quello di perdere peso, comunque, si può aumentare l’intensità e la durata dell’esercizio fisico. Il corpo umano ha comunque riserve sufficienti per sopportare anche 90-120 minuti di esercizio a stomaco vuoto.
