Nel farmaco generico, non è detto che il paziente riesca a trovare tutte le peculiarità di cui ha bisogno o, comunque, possono variare leggermente i parametri di aderenza ed è giusto che un medico lo informi di tale possibilità, prima che inizi la terapia e che scelga un prodotto similare ma non identico a quello prescritto. E’ vero però anche il contrario e questo va valutato di volta in volta. In definitiva il farmaco perfetto nel trattamento dei problemi di natura cardiovascolare deve essere facilmente riconoscibile da chi lo acquista, assunto con la costanza richiesta e con un alto grado di aderenza. Questo lo renderà efficace.
L’importanza dell’aderenza alla terapia è perciò fondamentale, ma molto spesso è anche condizionata dalle sostanze contenute all’interno del farmaco e perciò è la qualità in questo caso a fare la differenza. La stessa può trovarsi invariabilmente sia nel farmaco brand che in quello generico, ma quest’ultimo potrebbe non ispirare fiducia e familiarità nel paziente. E’ compito del dottore, dunque, avvicinarlo ad un settore per lui relativamente nuovo, spiegando l’analoga funzione di un composto che non appartiene ad una marca nota, ma vanta i medesimi principi attivi.
Del resto, chi deve assumere un farmaco non ne conosce gli elementi chimici che si trovano all’interno, ma si basa su forma e colore e, ovviamente, sul nome. Tanto più i prodotti saranno similari in queste caratteristiche e maggiore sarà la possibilità che il paziente ne abbia fiducia e inizi una cura seria e mirata, a tutto vantaggio dei suoi disturbi cardiovascolari.
