Chi l’avrebbe mai detto che 1 bicchiere di vino rosso al giorno aiutasse a non ingrassare? Ebbene si, un consumo moderato della bevanda di Bacco, pare tenga sotto controllo il peso. A decretarlo, un gruppo di ricercatori spagnoli dell’Università di Navarro.

Il vino, da qualche anno, divide gli esperti. C’è chi ne esalta i benefici per la salute grazie ai composti fenolici in esso contenuti, primo fra tutti il resveratrolo dalle note proprietà antiossidanti, e chi, invece, ne svaluta i pregi a causa dell’alcol etilico, che, oltre una certa soglia, comporta seri danni per il nostro organismo.

Non è un caso, forse, che gli studiosi spagnoli suggeriscano di bere solo 1 bicchiere di vino al giorno per controllare il peso corporeo. Chi supera questa soglia, invece, tenderebbe ad ingrassare. Effettivamente, l’alcol pur non essendo un nutriente, apporta calorie, che si vanno a sommare a quelle che si introducono normalmente con la dieta alimentare. Chiaramente se tutte queste calorie non vengono bruciate, si trasformano in deposito di grasso.

I membri dell’International Scientific Forum on Alcohol Research hanno commentato i risultati dello studio mostrandosi in accordo con la gran parte delle conclusioni tratte dai ricercatori spagnoli, tanto più che attualmente non ci sono prove che moderate quantità di alcol aumentino il rischio di obesità. Bere con moderazione, perciò, potrebbe apportare più benefici che danni, come l’aumento di peso. Come dicevano i latini, in media stat virtus, nel mezzo sta la virtù, sia che si abbia qualche di troppo o meno.

La moderazione, infatti, dovrebbe essere l’atteggiamento da adottare in qualsiasi situazione o alimento che si vuole consumare. Tutto va assunto con criterio, vino compreso. Le quantità consigliate, infatti, per evitare gravi danni a lungo termine, sono 2 bicchieri al giorno per l’uomo e 1 per la donna, mentre per gli anziani la razione raccomandata è persino inferiore.
